Examples of Jim’s Projects

School Facilitation: Addis Ababa, Beijing, Flagstaff, Frankfurt, London Luxembourg, Phoenix, Velden, Vienna, Zürich, and more.

There have been many schools that Jim has worked with for a short term or a long term to help them take the next step. Jim facilitates change making sessions while training teachers to do the same, using UDL principles and the design method. Working carefully and with respect for all involved is fundamental to the work Jim will do.

Long-Term Planning: Addis Ababa

Jim worked with this school for a full week, called in as the campus was experiencing pressure from their community to make significant changes. Through accounting of the situation, problem identification, and through step-by-step planning, a clear plan was in place. A student-centered and collaborative structure was ready to be shared with their community.

Gaga Ball Pit: Created by Jim & Young teachers

Jim worked for a summer with young and in-training teachers on communication skills with students to follow UDL principles. The results were profound, not only did Jim invest time and energy in a project they wanted for their campus, but students/campers benefitted from changed and improved instruction methods that Jim facilitated and that the organization’s teachers created.

Mobile Library: Mumbai

Jim worked with teachers and students to create this stunning mobile library from a Tuk Tuk in a single week. Along the way, Jim trained teachers on the design method for collaboration while using it with students. The goal of the Tuk Tuk was second only to the work with teachers in training how to design instruction in a student-centered and collaborative way
